Important Information

  • New legislation regarding home education went into effect July 1, 2011. Read the changes to T.C.A. § 49-6-3050 here.
  • Time to submit final grades! Target date for first-semester grades is January 31, 2012 (or as soon as you complete your school year).
  • Re-enrollment paperwork for the 2011-12 school year was sent out to returning families at the beginning of June 2011 by email (or postal mail if you haven't provided us with an email address). If you are a returning family and did not receive this, please contact us by email (gateway_@bellsouth.net) or phone, (901) 454-1606, and we'll be happy to resend it.
  • Registration for 2010-11 is closed.
  • It is important for returning families to register at the BEGINNING of the school year to avoid truancy!

  • Parents of high-school students who fail to register at the BEGINNING of the year may delay or even prevent the student's graduation.

  • The target date to turn in final/second-semester grades for the 2010-11 school year was June 30, 2011. Parents of junior and senior students, especially, should be sure to turn in final grades as soon as possible in order to avoid the risk of delaying or preventing graduation!
  • The deadline for parents of seniors to send final grades is August 31, 2012. If we do not receive final grades for seniors by August 31, 2012, it will become necessary for seniors to re-enroll for the 2012-13 school year and complete a fourth math credit (for a total of 22 credits). Students who turn 18 and fail to graduate on time may become ineligible to graduate from Gateway.
